2026 Tax Rate Public Hearing Scheduled for Thurs. Sept 10th at 11 a.m.

The Fayette County WCID - Monument Hill Board of DIrectors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 11 a.m. to receive public comments on the district's proposed 2026 tax rate. The hearing will be held at the district office located at 100 Country Club Drive in La Grange, Texas. The proposed ad valorem tax rate of 0.1981 per $100 of valuation will be considered for adoption during their regular monthly meeting which will immediately follow the 11 a.m. tax rate public hearing on September 10th.
The 2026 proposed ad valorem tax rate of 0.1981 is comprised of a needed tax rate of 0.0920 for debt service of the Series 2017 bond sale and a rate of 0.1061 for operations and maintenance. The proposed rate reflects an increase of $21.90, or 3.33%, based on the average appraised residential home value after exemptions of $328,572.
