Water Code, Chapter 51 §51.7072 Qualifications for Director: (a) To be qualified for election as a director, a person must: (1) be a resident of the state; (2) own land subjecto to taxation in the district or be a qualified voter in the district; and (3) be at least 18 years of age. Interested candidates meeting the above stated Water Code, Chapter 51 qualifications should complete the Application For A Place On The Ballot For A General Election For A City, School District Or Other Political Subdivision (Form 2-49), and in accordance with the candidate application filing deadline indicated in the next column. In the event the deadline for a place on the general election ballot has passed, candidates can submit a Declaration of Write-In Candidacy For A City, School District Or Other Political Subdivision in accordance with the write-in candidacy deadline. There are no candidate filing fees. Mail completed applications to: Fayette County WCID-Monument Hill at 100 Country Club Drive, La Grange, Texas, 78945 or email to: before the indicated deadlines. |

The last day to file for a place on the November 3, 2026 General Election Ballot is Monday, August 17, 2026 at 5 p.m. The last day to file a Declaration of Write-In Candidacy is Friday, August 21, 2026 at 5 p.m. |
