The Fayette County WCID - Monument Hill Board of Directors will hold a public hearing on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 9 a.m., to receive public comments on the district's proposed 2023 tax rate.  The hearing will be held at the district office located at 100 Country Club Drive in La Grange, Texas.  The proposed ad valorem tax rate of 0.2100 per $100 of valuation will be considered for adoption during a special board of directors meeting which will immediately follow the 9 a.m. tax rate public hearing on September 1st.  

The 2023 proposed ad valorem tax rate of 0.2100 is comprised of a needed tax rate of 0.1100 for debt service of the Series 2017 bond sale and a rate of 0.1000 for operations and maintenance.  This proposed rate reflects an increase of $18.60, or an increase of 3.36%, based on the average appraised residential home value, after exemptions, of $272,651.
