The Fayette County WCID - Monument Hill Board of Directors held a public hearing on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 9 a.m., to receive public comments on the district's proposed 2023 tax rate.  No members of the public were present and no comments were received concerning the proposed ad valorem tax rate of 0.2100 per $100 of valuation. 

The 2023 proposed ad valorem tax rate of 0.2100 is comprised of a needed tax rate of 0.1100 for debt service of the Series 2017 bond sale and a rate of 0.1000 for operations and maintenance.  This proposed rate reflects an increase of $18.60, or an increase of 3.36%, based on the average appraised residential home value, after exemptions, of $272,651.

During the special meeting, which immediately followed the 9 a.m. Tax Rate Public Hearing, the board adopted the proposed ad valorem tax rate of 0.2100 per $100 of property valuation.
