2025 Tax Rate Public Hearing Scheduled for Sept. 11th at 11 a.m.

The Fayette County WCID - Monument Hill Board of DIrectors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11 a.m. to receive public comments on the district's proposed 2025 tax rate. The hearing will be held at the district office located at 100 Country Club Drive in La Grange, Texas. The proposed ad valorem tax rate of 0.1857 per $100 of valuation will be considered for adoption during their regular monthly meeting which will immediately follow the 11 a.m. tax rate public hearing on September 11th.
The 2025 proposed ad valorem tax rate of 0.1857 is comprised of a needed tax rate of 0.0960 for debt service of the Series 2017 bond sale and a rate of 0.0897 for operations and maintenance. The proposed rate reflects an increase of $4.56, or 0.76%, based on the average appraised residential home value after exemptions of $324,468.
